Caroline Alizabeth Nice was born on March 5, 1997 to Tim and Denyse Nice in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She is the youngest of three children, Robby and Nicollette. Currently, Caroline is a homeschooled ninth grader, where her favorite school subject is Algebra. During Caroline's spare time, she loves to go water skiing, climbing and dancing.

At the age of four, Caroline started training at St. Charles Gymnastics Club, which at the time was the sister-gym to Naperville gymnastics. She was taught the level five routines by her then coach, Margaret Koczwara, when she was five years old. However, she was too young to compete and had to wait for two more years. Bored and getting in trouble at gym, it was decided that she should train at Naperville, since it was the less competitive of the teams. She returned when she was old enough to compete.

In 2005 as a level five, Caroline finished first on everything at the Bravo Classic. She then finished fifth in the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style and Cupid's Twist. At the Level 5 State Championships, she placed eighth overall. Right after the Level 5 State Championships, her dad took a promotion by the company and relocated to South Carolina where they then moved. After about six months of training her coach Margaret came for a visit, noticed Caroline had lost a lot of her “style”, and suggested her find another gym. They found Southeastern in Charlotte, North Carolina where she blossomed under the tutelage of Luidmilla Shobe and Galena Malakena.

In 2007 as a level seven, Caroline finished fourth in the all-around and first on vault at the Lady Luck Invitational. She then won all-around titles at the Carolina Classic, Sweetheart Invitational and Charleston Cup. At the Level 7 State Championships, she finished first in the all-around with a total AA score of 38.0. She finished first on vault with a 9.55 and second on balance beam scoring a 9.45.

Caroline moved up to level eight in 2008. She started her season at the Atlanta Crown, where she won the all-around title as well as first on vault and beam. Within next four invitationals, she finished in the top two. At the Level 8 State Championships, she finished first in the all-around, balance beam and floor exercise. There, she qualified to the Level 8 Regionals where she finished eighth overall. She made the North Carolina State Team.

As a level nine in 2009, Caroline finished second in the all-around at the Flip Fest Invitational, Charleston Cup and National Gymnastics Challenge. At the Level 9 State Championships, she placed fourth over all and won a gold medal on uneven bars. At the Level 9 Regional Championships, she won the all-around title with a 37.325. She also finished second on bars and beam and first on floor. There, she qualified to the Level 9 Eastern National Championships.

Four days after the Level 10 Regionals, the sudden loss of her grandmother changed the focus for Caroline and her family and they left for California indefinitely. She and her family returned home with only days to prepare for the Level 9 Eastern Championships. Though she was still grieving as she was very close to her grandmother and states, "Baba kept me grounded and was my biggest fan," Caroline felt like she needed to honor her opportunity to represent North Carolina. She felt she was prepared mentally though probably not physically after having been off for so many days, so she set out to gain experience, make friends and do the best she could. On the day of the competition, Caroline won the all-around title with a 37.450! She also won gold medals on uneven bars (9.500), balance beam (9.425) and floor exercise (9.400).

Summer of 2009, Caroline's dad was promoted to World Headquarters in Chicago which brought her back to Naperville Gymnastics in October 2009. It had been a very emotional move as she did not want to leave her coaches, but did not want to separate from her family. Her level 10 year in 2010 has gotten off to a slow start because she broke a bone in her foot in November 2009 at camp in Texas. Caroline finished third in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the Lady Luck Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada. She then finished 12th in the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style and Gateway Challenge. At the Flip'r Invitational, Caroline placed ninth in the all-around and second on balance beam with a 9.625. At the Level 10 State Championships, she finished fourth in the all-around and won a bronze medal on floor exercise. There, she qualified to the Level 10 Regional Championships. At the beginning of 2011, Caroline and her family moved to Dallas, Texas area.

In 2011, Caroline began her season in March at the Alamo Classic. There, she placed second in the all-around as well as second on vault, uneven bars and balance beam. At the Level 10 Texas State Championships, she finished ninth in the all-around and fourth on floor exercise. She concluded her 2011 season at the Level 10 Regionals, where she finished 19th overall.
