Drew Camille Watson was born on September 24, 1998 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Ron and Ashley Watson. Drew has one older sister, Sydney, and one younger sister, Peyton. Drew is a freshman at East Texas Christian Academy and will graduate from high school in 2017.

Drew began gymnastics at the age of three at Boys N Girls Club in Nacogdoches, Texas after she and her sister would play around on the railing of the porch. She was coached by Hayley Van Meter Troutman and Tyler Troutman. Drew has spent all of her competitive careers at Texas East Gymnastics in Tyler, Texas. The gym is ninety miles from her house. She spends four nights a week in Tyler. Drew is currently coached by Stacy and Martin Parsley. She trains 30 hours a week and hopes to earn a college scholarship.

In 2005, Drew competed level four. She competed level six in the fall of 2006. She moved up to level seven for the 2008 season. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2009. She finished third on vault at the IGI Chicago Style. At the WOGA Classic, she placed third on floor. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Rose City Classic. At the State Championships, she finished in the top fifteen. She competed at Regionals.

Drew competed level nine in 2010. She finished second on vault at the Ricky Deci Invitational. She placed third all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. At the Gumbo Cup, she placed second all-around. She finished second on vault at the WOGA Classic. At the Rose City Classic, she won vault. She finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships. She placed eighth all-around at Regionals. Drew began competing level ten in 2011. She finished second all-around at the Denver Winterfest. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Rose City Classic. At the State Championships, she placed in the top twenty. She finished in the top ten at Regionals. At the JO National Invitational Tournament, she placed third on vault, bars and the all-around. Drew won beam at the 2012 Ricky Deci Invitational. She finished third all-around at the Alamo Classic. At the WOGA Classic, she placed second on beam. She finished second on floor at the Rose City Classic. At the State Championships, she placed third on vault and floor. She finished in top seven at Regionals. Drew competed at JO Nationals.

In 2013, Drew finished second all-around at the Pikes Peak Cup to qualify for the Nastia Liukin Cup. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. At the Houston National Invitational, she placed first all-around. Drew competed at the Nastia Liukin Cup. At the State Championships, she finished tenth all-around. She placed fifth all-around at Regionals. Drew competed at JO Nationals. Drew was limited in 2014 due to an injury but did win vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the Texas Prime meet. In 2015, Drew won vault at the Houston National Invitational and AOGC Invitational. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Rose City Classic. At the State Championships, she placed first on vault. Drew finished tenth all-around at Regionals.

Drew finished fourth all-around at the 2016 Texas Prime meet. She won vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the Rose City Classic. Drew placed first on vault and bars at the Reflex Spring Challenge. At the State Championships, she placed second on bars, the only event she competed. She won vault at Regionals. She finished first on vault, ninth on bars and seventh all-around at JO Nationals.
