Katrina Lacorte Carpenter was born on June 22, 1994 in Rockville, Maryland to Bruce and Erlinda Carpenter. Currently, Katrina is a senior at Tuscarora High School.

As a second-year level 10 gymnast in 2009, Katrina finished fourth in the all-around at the Level 10 State Championships. There, she qualified to the Level 10 Regional Championships. In 2010, Katrina placed fourth in the all-around and second on balance beam at the Level 10 Maryland State Championships. At the Level 10 Regionals, she placed ninth in the all-around and was the second alternate for the Junior Olympic National Championships. Katrina placed 10th in the all-around and sixth on vault at the Junior Olympic NIT. In 2011, Katrina placed second in the all-around and first on vault at the Level 10 State Championships. At the Level 10 Regionals, she placed 12th in the all-around and second on vault.

Currently, Katrina is training for the 2011 season as a fourth-year level 10 gymnast. Katrina trains about 22 hours a week at Frederick Gymnastics under coaches Larisa Firestone and Heather Galpin. She would love to continue gymnastics in college.
