April Baker was born on June 7, 1995. Her sister, Cortni is also a gymnast. April trained at New England Gymnastics Training Center. She moved to Brestyan's after the 2007 season. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2006, April competed level eight. She finished third on vault at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2007. She finished fourth on beam at Regionals. She continued competing level nine in 2008. She won vault at the Friendship Classic. At the State Championships, she finished second all-around and first on vault. April won vault and floor at Regionals. She placed third all-around. At Easterns, she finished 13th all-around and fifth on beam.

April moved up to level ten in 2009. She finished sixth all-around at the City of Lights Invitational. She finished second on vault and fifth all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals. She competed in the fall of 2009, but missed the 2010 season due to injury. In 2011, April finished in the top ten at the WOGA Classic. She won vault at the Starlight Invitational. She placed first on bars and second all-around at the State Championships. April finished first on vault at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she placed second on vault. She finished eleventh all-around.
