Bailey Abernathy was born on June 27, 1995. She trained at Gymnastics Plus until July of 2011. She then moved to Colorado Gymnastics Institute. She will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2004, Bailey competed level four. She finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships. She moved up to level five in 2005. She competed at the State Championships. In 2006, she won vault and the all-around at the State Championships as a level five. She competed level eight in 2008. She finished in the top twenty at the State Championships. She continued competing level eight in 2009. She finished fourth on beam and seventh all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
Bailey moved up to level nine in 2010. She finished third all-around at the New Year Invitational. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Denver Winterfest. She placed second on beam and floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault and floor. She finished third all-around. Bailey competed at Westerns. She moved up to level ten in 2011. She finished third all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She won floor at the Airborne Classic. At the State Championships, she placed second on bars, floor and the all-around. She finished tenth all-around at Regionals. She competed at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
