Alyssa Difrancesco was born on November 27, 1993. Both of her sisters, Mia and Natalie, are also gymnastics. Alyssa trained at KMC Gymnastics in Pennsylvania until 2008. She then moved to First State Gymnastics in Delaware. She began training at Prestige in 2011. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2004, Alyssa competed level seven. She finished second all-around at the Friendship Classic. She moved up to level eight in 2006. She finished first on beam third on floor and ninth all-around at Regionals. Alyssa began competing level nine in 2007. She finished second on beam at the Gasparilla Classic. At the State Championships, she placed third on beam. Alyssa ended her season at Regionals. In 2008, Alyssa placed second on floor at the Aquafina Team Challenge. She won beam and placed second all-around at the State Championships. Alyssa finished third on floor at Regionals.

Alyssa continued competing level nine in 2009. She won vault at the Hard Rock Invitational. At Regionals, she finished third on vault and seventh all-around. Alyssa moved up to level ten in 2010. She finished first on vault, beam and the all-around at the Star Struck Invitational. She won beam at the Excalibur Cup. At the Capital Cup, she placed second on beam and floor. In December, she finished first on floor at the First State Gymnastics Invitational. She placed second on vault at the Christmas City Classic. Alyssa did not compete the remainder of the 2010-2011 season.
