Abigail Edelman was born on March 12, 1997. Her older sister, Renee, is also a competitive gymnast. Abigail trained at Gymagine in Washington in 2004. After moving to Minnesota, she trained at Gleason's Maple Grove through the 2008 season. She then moved to Twin City Twisters. Abigail will graduate from high school in 2015.
In the fall of 2008, Abigail competed level six. She finished third on floor at the State Championships. She moved up to level seven for the 2010 season. She finished first all-around at the Gopher Invite. She won the all-around title at the IGI Chicago Style. She placed first on bars and second all-around at the Rising Stars Invitational. At the State Championships, she won bars and placed second all-around.
Abigail competed level eight in 2011. She finished third all-around at the Winter Challenge. She placed third on bars at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Northern Lights Classic, she finished third all-around. She finished third on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, Abigail won the all-around title. She placed second on bars, third on beam and second on floor.
