Adeline Helland was born on January 2, 1997. She has one sister, Raven, who was also a gymnast. Adeline trained at Nations until the 2006 season. She then began competing for US Gold. She followed her coaches to Denton during the 2007 season. Adeline will graduate from high school in 2016.

In 2006, Adeline competed level seven. She won the all-around at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. At the State Championships, she tied for first all-around in the bronze division! She placed first on vault, third on beam and floor and second on bars. In the fall, she made the National TOPs Team. In 2007, Adeline focused on making hopes elite. The work paid off when she won the US Challenge. She also made her second National TOPs Team in 2007.

Adeline competed both level nine and hopes in 2008. She qualified for the Level 9 Regional Championships. At the US Challenge, she finished sixth. Adeline made her third and final National TOPs Team in the fall. In 2009, Adeline continued competing both level nine and hopes. She placed third on bars and beam at the Rose City Classic. Adeline placed in the top ten at the Level 9 Regional Championships. At the US Challenge, she finished fifth. Adeline competed level ten in 2010. She finished third all-around at the State Qualifier. She also competed at the WOGA Classic. She tested elite at the Metroplex Challenge and Buckeye Classic. In 2011, Adeline finished second all-around at the Anna Frashear Invitational. She placed third on beam at the State Championships. Adeline finished in the top twenty at Regionals.
