Jennifer Rebecca Alexin was born on December 20, 1991. She trained at Gymstars during her club career where she was coached by her parents, Gene and Donna. She graduated from high school a semester early to join Alabama for the 2010 season.

In 2001, Becca competed level seven at the Charleston Cup. She competed level ten in 2004. She finished 14th all-around at Regionals. In 2005, she won floor at the State Championships. She finished fourth all-around. Becca finished eleventh all-around at Regionals. She placed third on floor at the 2006 GymQuarters Invitational. She finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. In 2008, Becca placed third on bars at Regionals.

As a freshman at Alabama in 2010, she did not compete due to a knee injury. She was an NACGC/W Scholastic All-American.
