Riahanah Ali was born on June 30, 1997. She trained at Michigan Academy of Gymnastics through the 2010 season. She then moved to Oakland. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2007, Riahanah competed level seven. She competed at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2008. She won bars at the Bravo Classic. She competed at Regionals. Riahanah began competing level nine in 2009. She placed first on bars at the Blues and BBQ Invitational. She finished third all-around at the Totally Rad 16 Gymnastics Invitational. At the Circle of Stars meet, she placed second on bars. Riahanah finished in the top fifteen at the State and Regional Championships.

Riahanah continued competing level nine in 2010. She finished first on bars at the Twistars Invitational. She placed second all-around at the Circle of Stars meet. At the State Championships, she placed fourth on bars. She finished sixth all-around at Regionals. She competed at Easterns. At the USAIGC National Championships, she won the all-around title in the premier division. She won bars, beam, and floor in event finals. In 2011, Riahanah finished third all-around at the Presidential Classic. She won vault at the All American Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished fifth all-around. Riahanah placed third on bars at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed fourth on floor and fifth all-around.
