Cathryn Aliceaacosta was born on July 16, 1992. She trained at Texans through the 2004 season. She competed for Cypress from 2008 to 2010. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2003, Cathryn competed level nine. She finished in the top ten all-around at Regionals. She placed second on bars at Westerns. She finished 29th all-around. Cathryn moved up to level ten in 2004. She finished fourth on vault and ninth all-around at Regionals. She did not compete from 2005 to 2007. She returned in 2008. Cathryn won vault, floor and the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She finished 12th all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on vault.

Cathryn continued competing level ten in 2009. She finished second on vault at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won vault at the Mary Lou Retton Invitational. Cathryn also won vault at the WOGA Classic. At the State Championships, she placed fourth on vault. Cathryn finished tenth all-around at Regionals. At the JO National Invitational Tournament, she placed third on floor.

As a freshman at Missouri in 2011, Cathryn competed on vault, beam and floor.
