Tia Allbritten was born on October 29, 1996. She trained at Texas Elite Gymnastics, formerly known as Mesquite, until the gym closed. Tia then moved to Eagle Wings Athletics. She followed her new coach to Zenith Elite Gymnastics in the summer. Tia made the Diamond National TOPs Team in 2004 and the National TOPs Team in 2005.

In 2006, Tia competed as a level seven. She finished second on vault and third on floor at the National Judges Cup. Tia made her second National TOPs Team in the fall. She moved up to level eight in 2007. She finished second all-around at the Rose City Classic. She won vault and floor. At States, she qualified for Regionals. Tia placed fourth all-around at Regionals! She also finished fourth on floor and second on beam. She made her third National TOPs Team in the fall.

Tia moved up to level nine in 2008. She finished third all-around at the Rose City Classic. She finished second on vault, beam and floor. At States, she finished third on beam. She placed in the top ten all-around. At Regionals, Tia finished eighth all-around. This allowed her to compete at Westerns. She had a respectable finish at Westerns. During the first weekend of May she qualified for hopes pre-elite by placing third at the Elite Qualifier. She competed at the US Challenge.

She moved up to level ten in 2009. At the Texas Prime Meet, she finished fourth on vault and beam. Tia won a bronze medal on beam at the Rose City Classic. She finished fourth all-around at States. She finished fourth on vault and fifth on beam at Regionals. She ended her season at the National Invitational Tournament. She finished fifth all-around. She won a bronze medal on vault and a silver medal on beam.

In 2010, Tia finished second on vault, floor and in the all-around at the Texas Prime Meet. She won beam and the all-around at the Achiever's District Qualifier. Tia again took home the all-around title, in addition to beam and floor, at the WOGA Classic. She finished out January by finishing second on vault and beam at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. In March, Tia won bars at the Zenith Spring Fling. She next competed at States, placing sixth all-around. At Regionals, she placed second on vault, first on beam and fifth all-around. She ended her level ten season at JO Nationals. She placed fifth on vault, seventh on beam and 13th all-around.

Tia began her 2011 season at the Metroplex Challenge where she finished fifth in the all-around and second on vault. Tia won the vault title at both Gliders Elite Qualifier and WOGA Elite Qualifier. At the Houston National Invitational, she finished ninth in the all-around and second on vault. On the next day after the Houston meet, she passed compulsories, a portion of the elite testing by finishing second in the all-around and first on vault. At the Zenith Spring Invitational, Tia placed first on vault and second on uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. Tia finished third in the all-around and floor exercise as well as second on balance beam at the Level 10 Texas State. At the Level 10 Regionals, she won the floor exercise title and finished seventh overall. There, she qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Long Beach, California. At the JO Nationals, she won a silver medal on vault!

In 2012, Tia finished second in the all-around and first on vault at the Alamo Classic. She traveled to California for the Gliders National Elite Qualifier where she passed compulsories. In optionals, she placed first on vault and third in the all-around. In March, Tia placed seventh in the all-around and second on vault at the Houston National Invitational. At the Zenith Spring Invitational, she finished third in the all-around, first on vault and second on uneven bars. She did really well at the Level 10 State Championships, finishing fifth in the all-around and first on vault. At the Region 3 Championships, Tia placed third on vault, floor exercise and in the all-around, qualifying to the JO Nationals. In May, Tia tested elite at the Texas Elite Qualifier where she finished second in the all-around as well as first on vault and balance beam. She narrowly missed qualifying to elite by .55. A few days later, Tia bounced back at the JO Nationals in Hampton, VA where she finished 14th in the all-around and fourth on vault out of 57 gymnasts.
