Taylor Allex was born on April 21, 1995. She began gymnastics at the age of ten. She trained at Tobler Gymnastics until early 2009. She then trained at JLS briefly. Taylor trained at TAGS Apple Valley until the spring of 2011. She then moved to Classic Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2007, Taylor won five gold medals at the Star of the North State Games. She also competed as a level six at the Harvest Invitational. She won the all-around title. Taylor competed level nine in 2008. She finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level ten in 2009. She finished third on vault at the Gopher Women's Invitational. She placed fifth at the IGI Chicago Style.
Taylor had a strong 2010 season. She finished third all-around at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She finished third on vault at the San Diego Classic. At the Northern Lights Classic, Taylor placed second all-around. She won floor and finished second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, Taylor placed third all-around. She won vault, bars and floor. She ended her season at JO Nationals, finishing 22nd despite a fall on floor. In 2011, Taylor placed second on abrs and floor at the Arizona Grand Invitational. She won vault at the Northern Lights Classic. Taylor finished first on vault, bars and the all-around at the Courtney Kupets Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed first on bars and third all-around. She won floor and placed second on beam at Regionals. She placed tenth on vault, secon don bars, sixth on beam and fifth all-around at JO Nationals.
