Taylor Alotta was born on July 1, 1994. She trained at Lehigh Valley Sports Association until the spring of 2008. She then followed her coach, Natalia Yurchenko, to Parkettes.
In 2003, Taylor competed level five. She finished seventh all-around at States. She moved up to level six in 2004. She won the all-around at the Friendship Classic. At States, she placed third all-around. Taylor competed level eight in 2006. She won a bronze medal on vault at the AOGC Invitational. At States, she finished 17th all-around out of 42 competitors. In 2007, Taylor competed level nine. She finished second on bars at the Brestyan's Invitational. At the Scarlet Cup, she won bars and placed second all-around. She placed seventh all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at Easterns.
Taylor's first season as a level ten was in 2008. She won a bronze medal on beam at States. In December, she won a silver medal on beam at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. She produced strong results in 2009. She won a silver medal on floor at the Parkette Invitational and a bronze medal on beam at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. At States, she won a bronze medal on floor. Taylor placed tenth all-around at Regionals, qualifying for the JO National Invitational Tournament. She ended her season with a fourth place finish on bars at the JO National Invitational Tournament along with a top ten all-around finish.
She continued competing level ten in 2010. Taylor won the all-around title at the Maryland Classic. She won floor at the Magical Classic. Taylor won vault and bars at the Pink Invitational. She placed second all-around at the State Championships. She won the balance beam title. At Regionals, Taylor placed tenth all-around. She ended her season at the JO National Invitational Tournament where she placed third on beam, fourth on floor and third all-around.
