Ariel Martin was born on March 9, 1994. She was on the TOPs National Team in 2004 and 2005. She trained at Chicago Park District until 2004. She switched to Illinois Gymnastics Institute. She competes as a level ten gymnast for IGI.

In 2002, Ariel competed level five. She finished fourth all-around and second on vault at Sectionals. In 2003, she competed at the level six State Championship. She won the all-around and balance beam state titles. She moved up to level seven in 2004. She finished second on vault at States. In the fall of 2004, Ariel did one meet as a level eight before moving up to level nine. Ariel competed at States and Regionals. She moved up to level ten in 2006. She qualified to States and Regionals again. In 2007, she finished third on vault at the IGI Chicago Style. She did not compete at States or Regionals.

Her best season yet was in 2008. She placed third on vault at the Arena Classic out of 25 competitors. Ariel won vault and finished second on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, Ariel finished fourth all-around! She won vault and finished second on beam and floor. She qualified for the JO National Championships. At JO Nationals, Ariel tied for first on vault! Ariel did not compete all-around most of the 2009 season. She won vault at the IGI Chicago Style Meet. At the Naperville Flip'r meet she won vault again. She placed second on vault at the Battle of the Champions. At the Sportsfest, she finished second on vault. She won beam, floor and the all-around. Ariel finished second on vault at Regionals.
