Annie Johnson was born on July 14, 1998. Annie trains at Rising Stars Gymnastics Academy in Minnesota. Annie will graduate from high school in 2017.

In 2006, Annie competed level five. She competed at the State Championships. Annie moved up to level six in 2007. She finished in the top ten all-around at the State Championships. She continued competing level six in 2008. She finished first on beam, floor and the all-around at the Harvest Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed first on beam, second on floor and second all-around. Annie won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the 2009 Rising Stars Challenge. Annie competed level eight in 2010. She finished first on beam at the Lady Luck Invitational. At the Wisconsin Dells Vacation Classic, she won vault and beam. She placed second all-around at the Rising Stars Invitational. At the Harley Davidson meet, she won beam and floor. Annie finished third on vault and beam at the State Championships.

Annie competed level nine in 2011. She won beam and floor at the Winterfest. She placed third all-around at the winter Challenge. At the Rising Stars Invitational, she finished third all-around. Annie finished fourth on beam and seventh all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fourth on beam and in the top twenty all-around.
