Teresa Arthur was born on August 22, 1992. She trained at Tulsa World of Gymnastics until 2005. She then moved to Krafft Academy. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In the fall of 2003, Teresa competed level seven. She won bars and the all-around at the Greater New York Invite. In 2006, Teresa competed level eight. She finished second on vault and seventh all-around at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2007. She finished fifth on bars and 15th all-around at Regionals. She placed in the top twenty at Westerns. Teresa missed the 2008 championship season due to an injury. Teresa competed level ten in 2009. She placed third on bars and fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fourth on bars. Teresa finished fourth all-around at the 2010 State Championships. She finished 15th all-around at Regionals.
