Ashley Thomas was born on July 13, 1995. She trained at River City Gymnastics through the 2009 season. She then moved to SEGA in Tennessee. Ashley will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2005, Ashley competed level seven. She finished first on bars, third on vault and sixth all-around at the State Championships. Ashley moved up to level eight in 2006. She placed fourth all-around and second on vault at the State Championships. In 2007, she finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. Ashley began competing level nine in 2008. She competed on two events at the State Championships. She finished fourth on bars. In 2009, Ashley placed second all-around at the Bama Rama Invitational. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. Ashley competed at Regionals.
Ashley continued competing level nine in 2010. She finished fourth all-around at the St. Louis Classic. At the State Championships, she placed third all-around. She competed at Regionals. In 2011, Ashley won vault, floor and the all-around at the Flip Fest Invitational. She placed first on vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the USA Invitational. Ashley won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the St. Louis Classic. At the Nashville Nights meet, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. Ashley placed first on vault and third all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished first on vault and beam. She placed thrid all-around. Ashley finished fifth on vault at Easterns.
