Kelly Aycock was born on July 2, 1997. She trained at Gwinnett Gymnastics from 2005 to 2007. She followed her coaches to World Xtreme in 2007. They then moved to Olympia Elite after the 2008 season. Kelly began training at Ultimate in the spring of 2010.
In 2005, Kelly competed level five at the Tuckers Valentine Invitational. In the fall, she competed level six. Kelly moved up to level seven in 2006. She had strong finishes at the Atlanta Crown Invitational and IGI Chicago Style. She moved up to level eight in 2007. In 2008, Kelly competed level nine. She finished first on vault and beam at the Charleston Cup. At the National Gymnastics Challenge, she swept the gold medals.
Kelly moved up to level ten in 2009. She placed second all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. Kelly placed second all-around at the State Championships. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. Kelly also attended elite training camps in 2009. She continued competing level ten in 2010. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Flip Fest Invitational. She placed fourth all-around at the Magical Classic. At the Jazz Invitational, she won bars and placed second all-around. Kelly's final meet of the season was the Greensboro Invitational where she won vault, bars and the all-around.
