Taylor Bacon was born on February 11, 1998. She trained at Vitaly Scherbo School of Gymnastics until the summer of 2005. She then moved to Go For It USA. After moving to Washington in the summer of 2008, Taylor trained at Mid-Columbia Gymnastics Academy for one year before moving to Garland's Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2016.
In 2005, Taylor competed level four. She placed third all-around at the Vegas Vacation meet and Gold Medal Invitational. She placed second on floor and fifth all-around at the State Championships. Taylor moved up to level five in the fall. She finished in the top ten at the Fall State Meet. In the spring of 2006, Taylor finished second on vault and floor at the Go For it Classic. She won vault at the Hard Rock Invitational. At the Cactus Cooler Invitational, she won floor and the all-around. She placed first on vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Taylor moved up to level sixi n the fall. She finished first on vault and beam at the Perfector Invitational. At the Fall State Championships, she placed third on bars and fifth all-around. In 2007, Taylor placed first on beam and floor at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won vault at the Go For It Classic. At the State Championships, Taylor won vault, bars, floor and the all-around. She made the National TOPs "B" Team in the fall.
Taylor skipped level seven and competed level eight in 2008. She finished third all-around at the Tachi Palace Invitational. She won beam at the Go For It Classic. Taylor finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. She made the National TOPs Team in the fall. Taylor continued competing level eight in 2009. She began competing level nine in 2010. She won beam at the Flip Festival. She finished third all-around at the All American Invitational. Taylor won bars at the Battle in Seattle. At the Country Classic, she placed first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around. She placed first on beam and second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, Taylor won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. She placed sixth on bars and fifth on beam at Westerns.
Taylor continued competing level nine in 2011. She placed second all-around at the Battle in Seattle. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the Charity Choice Invitational. At the March Madness met, she won beam and the all-around. Taylor won bars and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on beam and first all-around. She finished second on vault, bars and floor. Taylor placed eighth on bars, tenth on floor and ninth all-around at Westerns!
