Megan Bastuba was born on February 9, 1994. She trains at Olympia Gymnastics Academy in Michigan. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2006, Megan competed level eight. She qualified to Regionals. In 2007, Megan finished in the top ten at Regionals. She continued competing level eight in 2008. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. Megan moved up to level nine in 2009. She finished first all-around at the Buckeye Classic. She placed third all-around at the Motown Madness meet. Megan also finished third all-around at the Wolverine Classic. At the State Championships, she finished in the top ten. She placed fifth all-around at Regionals. Megan placed third on floor and sixth all-around at Easterns.

Megan continued competing level nine in 2010. She finished third all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. Megan placed first on vault, floor and the all-around at the Buckeye Classic. She placed second all-around at the Motown Madness meet. At Regionals, she finished first on floor and second all-around. Megan placed fourth on bars, third on floor and fourth all-around at Easterns. She moved up to level ten in 2011. She finished third on beam and floor at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She won floor at the Athlete Warrior Challenge. Megan placed second on beam at the Motown Madness meet. She finished fourth on floor at the State Championships. Megan finished twelfth all-around at Regionals.
