Brittany Jane Byrd was born in Arlington, Texas to Deandra and Keith on September 30, 1991. She has one brother named Charlie. Brittany will graduate in the summer of 2009. Brittany trains at WOGA.
In 2002, Brittany competed level five. At North State, she finished second all-around. She won beam and floor. She qualified to the State Championships. Brittany competed as a level eight in 2005. She won a silver medal on beam at the WOGA Classic. Brittany won beam and floor at the Parkette Invitational. At States, she finished third on beam. She placed in the top ten all-around. She finished fifth all-around at Regionals.
Brittany competed her first season as a level nine in 2006. Brittany won floor at the WOGA Classic. She also finished second all-around. She finished third all-around at States. She also finished second on floor. At Regionals, Brittany placed second all-around. She won beam and finished third on floor. Her final meet of the season was Westerns. She had a rough meet but won beam! Brittany continued competing level nine in 2007. Brittany won a bronze medal on beam at the WOGA Classic. At the Rose City Classic, she won the all-around title! She finished third all-around at Regionals. She finished third on bars, beam and floor in addition to the all-around finish. At Westerns, she finished third on beam.
She moved up to level ten in 2008. She finished second on bars at the Metroplex Challenge. Brittany had a decent finish at States. At Regionals, she placed third all-around. She won a silver medal on bars. This qualified her for JO Nationals. In 2009, she placed third on bars and beam at the Texas Prime Meet. She finished fifteenth all-around at the Texas State Championships. She placed eleventh all-around at Regionals. She began attending EMU in the fall of 2009. She was a member of the gymnastics team for the 2010 season.
