Kayla Beckler was born on November 24, 1994. She trained at Cincinnati Gymnastics until the summer of 2010. She then moved to Perfection Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2005, she made the TOP National B Team. She competed as a level seven that year. Kayla won the Arnold Fitness Classic, Gaitlinburg Classic and the Buckeye Classic. In 2006, she moved up to level eight. She won the all-around and vault titles at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won States on every event except for bars. She finished fifth all-around at Regionals. Kayla made hopes pre-elite in the summer. She competed at the US Challenge. In the fall, she was named to the National TOP Team.

In 2007, Kayla began competing level nine. At the Atlanta Crown Invitational, she won vault and floor. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She won vault at the Aerial Midwest Open. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Kayla placed second all-around at Regionals. She won vault and floor. She finished third on bars. At Easterns, she finished third all-around. She also finished third on vault and first on floor!

Kayla moved up to level ten in 2008. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She finished second on vault. She was the state champion on vault and beam. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. Kayla won bronze medals on vault and floor. She won a silver medal on beam. She qualified to JO Nationals. She finished second on beam and floor. She was 14th all-around. In 2009, she finished second all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. She won beam and floor. Kayla also finished second all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She won floor. At the Charleston Cup, she won a silver medal on floor.

She had a strong level ten season in 2010. She finished second on vault, beam and floor at the Universal Galaxy. She finished third all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular and Buckeye Classic. Kayla finished second all-around at the Queen City Classic. She placed fourth all-around at the State Championships. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. At the JO National Invitational Tournament, she finished first on floor and second all-around. In 2011, Kayla finished fifth all-around at the Circle of Stars meet. She won floor at the Courtney Kupets Pink Invitational. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. Kayla placed fifth all-around at the 2012 Twistars Invitational. She placed second all-around at the Ozone Invitational. At the TOPS Super Challenge, she won bars and the all-around. She placed second all-around at the Queen City Classic. Kayla won floor at the Derby Classic.
