Ashley Belanger was born on January 18, 1995. She trains at Atlantic Gymnastics Training Center in New Hampshire. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2005, Ashley competed level eight. She finished second on vault at Regionals. She qualified to Regionals again as a level eight in 2006. She began competing level nine in 2007. Ashley won bars at the American Flyers Cup. At Regionals, she finished twelfth all-around. In 2008, Ashley won bars and the all-around at the State Championships. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals.

Ashley continued competing level nine in 2009. She placed third on vault and floor at the American Flyers Cup. She finished third on vault at the IGI Chicago Style. At Regionals, she finished fifth all-around. Ashley competed at Easterns. In 2010, she won the all-around title at the State Championships. She finished first on bars and the all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed fifth on floor and seventh all-around.
