Taylor Bennion was born on September 15, 1998. She trains at SCEGA.

In 2005, Taylor competed level four. She finished third all-around at the 2nd Prelim. Taylor won bars at the 3rd Prelim. At the South Sectional meet, she finished second on bars. Taylor placed third on bars at the State Championships. She moved up to level five in 2006. She finished fourth all-around at the 1st Prelim. Taylor placed third all-around at the Butterfly Classic. At South Sectionals, she finished second on bars. Taylor placed third on vault at the State Championships.

Taylor competed level six in the fall of 2007. She finished second all-around at the Hang Ten Invitational. She won vault at the 1st Prelim. At the 2nd Prelim, she placed second on bars. Taylor finished third all-around at Sectionals. At the State Championships, she finished fifth on bars. Taylor immediately began competing level seven in the spring of 2008. She placed third all-around at the California classic. Taylor finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2009. She won bars and floor at the Lady Luck Invitational. Taylor finished second all-around at the San Diego Classic. At the Hardrock Invitational, she won vault and the all-around! Taylor placed third all-around at both the Heart of a Champion Invitational and Malibu Coast Challenge. She finished second on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished in the top fifteen.

She began competing level nine in 2010. She finished first on vault at the Lady Luck Invitational. Taylor placed third on vault and beam at the San Diego Classic. She won vault at the WOGA Invitational. At the California Classic, Taylor placed second all-around. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault. Taylor continued competing level nine in 2011. She finished third all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She placed third on vault at her next meet, the Gliders Invitational.
