Kaitlyn Betts was born on August 5, 1992. She trained at Euro Stars through the 2005 season. She then moved to Michigan Elite Gymnastics Academy (MEGA). She returned to Euro Stars in the fall of 2010. Kaitlyn will graduate from high school in 2011.

In 2005, Kaitlyn competed level eight. She won bars and finished seventh all-around at Regionals. She continued competing level eight in 2006. She finished third all-around at Regionals. She placed second on bars. She competed level nine in 2007. She finished second at the Motown Madness meet. She won vault at the State Championships. In 2008, Kaitlyn finished fifth at the IGI Chicago Style and Motown Madness meet. She won vault and finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. She won the all-around title at Regionals! At Easterns, she placed fourth on floor and the all-around, fifth on vault and eighth on beam.

Kaitlyn began competing level ten in 2009. She finished second on vault and floor at the Twistars Invitational. She competed at Regionals. In 2010, she won bars at the IGI Chicago Style. Kaitlyn won bars and the all-around at the Circle of the Stars meet. She finished in the top fifteen at both State and Regionals. At the JO National Invitational Tournament, she placed third all-around and second on vault. In 2011, she finished second on vault at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She won vault at the Circle of Stars meet. She placed second on vault at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Wolverine Classic, Kaitlyn won vault and the all-around. She placed third on vault at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished eighth all-around.
