Amy Bieski was born on January 7, 1989. She trained at Northeast Gymnastics in Pennsylvania during her club career. She received a full scholarship to West Virginia University.
In 1999, she competed as a level seven. By 2002 Amy was competing as a level nine. She finished third all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, Amy placed eighth all-around. In 2003, she finished second all-around at the Level 10 State Championships. She finished third on floor at Regionals. Amy qualified to her first JO National Championships! In 2004, she finished third all-around and first on floor at Regionals. She finished in the top thirty at JO Nationals. At the 2007 State Championships, Amy placed second all-around. She won bars, beam and floor.
As a freshman at WVU, she competed in the all-around. She earned first-team All-EAGL honors in the all-around and floor. She was on the second-team for vault and bars. She was named EAGL Rookie of the Week five times and EAGL Gymnast of the Week once. She competed in all fourteen meets; eleven times the all-around. She was also on the EAGL all-Academic team. As a sophomore, she was first-team all-EAGl on vault, floor and the all-around. She was second-team on bars. She earned EAGL Gymnast of the Week and EAGL Specialist of the Week. She competed in all twelve meets with eleven as an all-around performer. For the second year in a row Amy was an EAGL all-Academic honoree.
