Hayley Bolanos was born on May 18, 1998. She has a younger sister, Amaya, who was also a gymnast. They both trained at WGA Texans.
In 2007, Hayley won floor at the Level 7 State Qualifier. She moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished third on vault and second on floor at the Metroplex Challenge. At the South Padre Extravaganza, she finished second on vault. She won floor at the City of Lights Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished in the top ten all-around. Hayley placed eleventh all-around at Regionals.
She moved up to level nine in 2009. She won vault and beam at the Stars State Qualifier. At the Texas Prime Meet, Hayley placed third all-around. She finished second on vault and bars. At the Palm Beach Invitational, she earned her hopes compulsory score. She won floor as a level nine. Hayley placed second on vault and in the all-around at the Level 9 State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third on vault, beam and floor. She placed fifth all-around. At Westerns, she finished fourth on beam and tenth all-around. In the summer, she competed as a hopes elite. She finished fourth overall at the US Challenge. She placed second on vault.
