Danielle Bonner was born on September 14, 1992. She trained at Dynamic Gymnastics during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2002, Danielle competed level five. She won beam at the I Love NY Cup. She competed level eight in 2004. She won floor and placed third all-around at Regionals. Danielle moved up to level nine in 2005. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. She began competing level ten in 2006. She placed fourth all-around and first on beam at the State Championships. She finished first on beam and fifth all-around at Regionals. She qualified for JO Nationals where she placed eighth on beam. In 2007, Danielle finished first all-around at the Brestyan Invitational. She placed first on beam and sixth all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at JO Nationals. She was invited to the National Training Center where she qualified to pre-elite.

Danielle continued competing level ten in 2008. She finished second at the Spirit of America meet. She placed second on beam and fourth on floor at Regionals. In 2009, Danielle placed sixth at State and twelfth at Regionals. In 2010, she finished third at the Spirit of America meet. She placed second on beam at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished sixth all-around. Danielle ended her club career at JO Nationals. During her high school years, she also competed in high school gymnastics, finding much success.
