Ashlynn Broussard was born on September 20, 1994. She trained at Infinite Bounds for several years. She moved to WOGA following the 2009 season.

In 2001, Ashlynn began competing level five. She competed at the Conoco Phillips Meet in November. She continued competing level five in 2002. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the New Year's Invitational. She finished second on vault at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the Heart of Texas meet, she finished second on floor. Ashlynn finished second on vault, bars and in the all-around at Jill's Jubilee. She finished third on vault at the Conoco Phillips meet. In 2003, Ashlynn finished second all-around at the New Year Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the DGC Invitational. At the Krafft Friendship Cup, she won bars, floor and the all-around. Ashlynn placed second all-around at the Nadia Invitational. She won bars at the Fiesta Invitational.

Ashlynn moved up to level seven in November of 2003. She finished third on bars, beam and floor at the Conoco Invitational. A month later she finished third all-around at the HUGS Winter Warm-Up. In January of 2004, Ashlynn placed second all-around at both the Sand Dollar Invitational and Metroplex Challenge. She placed second on bars at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. At the Level 7 North State meet, she finished second on beam. She ended her season by winning bars and the all-around at the Texas State Championships.

She competed level eight during the 2005 season. She won beam at the Candy Cane Classic in December 2004. In January, she won vault at the Metroplex Challenge and Krafft Friendship Cup. She finished fourth all-around at the Kurt Thomas Invitational, Krafft Friendship Cup, Metroplex Challenge and Cancun Classic. At the Yellow Rose Classic, she won vault and floor. She finished second all-around. She ended her season with performances at States and Regionals.

In 2006, Ashlynn began competing level nine. She won vault at the National Judges Cup. At the Metroplex Challenge, she won floor. She competed at States and Regionals. Ashlynn had stronger results during the 2007 season. She won vault at the Metroplex Challenge and Magical Classic. She finished second all-around at both meets. She also finished second all-around at the Heart of Texas Meet where she won beam. At States, she finished third on bars. She qualified for Westerns at Regionals. She finished fourth on floor at Westerns.

Ashlynn began competing level ten in November of 2007. She finished third on vault at the Conoco Phillips meet. This was her only meet of the 2007-2008 season. She returned in December of 2008 to win vault at the Candy Cane Classic. She finished third all-around at the Texas Prime Meet in January 2009. At the Metroplex Challenge, she won floor. Ashlynn only competed on bars at States. After Ashlyn's 2009 season, she began training at World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) in Plano, Texas. She started her 2010 season at the Metroplex Challenge, where she won the all-around title. She petitioned into the Level 10 Regionals after finishing 13th on vault at the Level 10 State Championships. At the Level 10 Regionals, she finished fourth in the all-around and first on uneven bars. There, she qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals, where she finished tenth in the all-around, fourth on uneven bars and sixth on balance beam.

In 2011, Ashlyn traveled to Chicago, Illinois for the IGI Chicago Style. There, she won the all-around title as well as first on vault and floor exercise. At the WOGA Classic, she placed eighth in the all-around and third on vault. In March, Ashlyn competed at the Houston National Invitational and placed third in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise. At the Level 10 Texas State Championships, Ashlyn placed fourth in the all-around, second on vault and third on balance beam. Ashlyn won a silver medal in the all-around as well as three gold medals on vault, balance beam and floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals for the second time where she placed tenth in the all-around, third on uneven bars and fifth on floor exercise.

Ashlyn started her 2012 season at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational, finishing fifth on vault and third on floor exercise. At the WOGA Classic, she finished third in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on floor exercise. She placed first on balance beam and in the all-around at the Texas Prime Meet. At the Houston National Invitational. Ashlyn earned gold medals on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. At the State Championships, she placed second in the all-around and second on balance beam. She did really well at the Level 10 Regionals, finishing first in the all-around as well as second on vault and balance beam. This qualified Ashlyn to the JO Nationals where she finished eighth in the all-around and third on balance beam.
