Meagan Browning was born in Houston, Texas on January 8, 1988. She is one of four daughters to Jana and Troy. She has one older sister, Karlee, and younger twin sisters, Holly and Haley. She began gymnastics in 1991. Meagan trained at Brown's Gymnastics in Houston, Texas. In 2002, she spent some time at WOGA due to coaching changes. Meagan returned to Brown's in Florida when she retired. She did some cheerleading after retiring.

Meagan was on the National TOPs Team in 1995 and 1998. She qualified to junior international elite in 2000. She finished fourth on bars at the American Classic. In 2001, Meagan finished seventh all-around and second on bars at the US Classic. She competed at the US National Championships. She finished second on bars. Meagan also qualified for the junior national team. She was scheduled to compete at the 2002 US Classic. She currently attends San Jacinto College.
