Lindsey Erin Bruck was born on September 24, 1984 to Mary Dodge Bruck and Steven Bruck. She has two brothers, Jason and Jared. In 1998, she trained at Acrofit Gymnastics. In 1999, Lindsey competed for Acrotex Gymnastics. She moved to Central New York Gymnastics in 2000. In 2001, Lindsey made her final gym change to Penev's Gymnastics. She is now a senior at the University of Michigan.
In 1997, she competed level 10. She qualified to the JO National Championships. She first tested elite in 1998 with Acrofit Gymnastics. Lindsey qualified to junior international elite in 1999 with Acrotex Gymnastics. She competed at the American Classic. In 2000, she made senior national elite with Central New York Gymnastics. Lindsey moved to Penev's Gymnastics in 2001. She dropped back to level 10. At the JO National Championships, she finished third all-around. Lindsey also finished second on bars and beam. She continued competing level ten in 2002. At the Regional Championships she finished first on everything except for beam. At the JO nationals, Lindsey finished second all-around, second on bars and third on floor. At her last regional championships in 2003, she swept the titles. At the JO nationals, she finished fourth all-around and second on beam.
In the fall, she began going to University of Michigan. Lindsey has been a major contributor to the team. As a freshman, she was an NCAA All-America first team balance beam member. She had good performances as a sophomore. She was an Academic All-Big Ten Member and U-M Athletic Academic Achievement honoree. Lindsey was also a NCAA All-American second team on bars. Awards continued to come in as a junior. She was the NCAA Region Gymnast of the Year, All-Big Ten first team, Academic All-Big Ten and NACGC Academic All-American. She also won the U-M Athletic Achievement award and the Big Ten beam and all-around titles. In the first meet of her senior season, she tore her achilles.
Lindsey came back in 2008 for a fifth year. She was a Honda Award Finalist for gymnastics. She was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. Lindsey was NCAA Northeast Regional Gymnast of the Year and Big Ten Gymnast of the Year. She was on the Academic All-Big Ten Team. She finished second all-around at the NCAA Regional Championships. She finished third at the Big Ten Championships. She won the all-around against Maryland. She earned three Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honors. She won the all-around at the State of Michigan Classic. She won beam in her first meet back.
