Jacquelyn Bryden was born on March 23, 1996. She began gymnastics at the age of four at Michigan Academy of Gymnastics. She trained at Gym America through the fall of 2011. She then moved to Splitz Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2007, Jacquelyn competed level seven. She placed second on vault at the National Judges Cup. She finished second on floor at the Motown Madness meet. She competed at the State Championships. Jacquelyn moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished third on vault at the Twistars Invitational. She placed third on floor at the IGI Chicago Style. In 2009, Jacquelyn finished third on vault at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She placed second on beam and floor at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Wolverine Classic, she won vault and floor. She finished first on vault and floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, Jacquelyn won vault, beam, floor and the all-around.

Jacquelyn began competing level nine in 2010. She finished first on bars and the all-around at the Circle of Stars meet. At the Wolverine Classic, she won vault, floor and the all-around. Jacquelyn won vault and floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on vault and third all-around. She won vault at Easterns! She also placed sixth on beam, fifth on floor and sixth all-around. In 2011, Jacquelyn finished second all-around at the Battle of Champions meet. She won floor at the Circle of Stars meet. At the Fiesta Bowl Invitational, she won vault. Jacquelyn placed first on vault, floor and the all-around at the Buckeye Classic. She won all five gold medals at the Wolverine Classic. At the State Championships, she finished second all-around. Jacquelyn placed first on vault at Regionals. She moved up to level ten in 2012. She placed first on vault and floor at the Splitz Super Bowl Invite.
