Laura Rebecca Bubnar was born on December 13, 1993. She has trained at Buckeye Gymnastics since the 2008 season. She will graduate from high school in 2012.
In 2004, Rebecca competed level eight with AGA Gymnastics in Michigan. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2005 with New Heights Gymnastics. She placed fourth on floor at the Buckeye Classic. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. In 2006, Rebecca competed for Sunrise Gymnastics. She qualified to Regionals. In 2007, with Michigan Academy of Gymnastics, she finished fifth all-around at the Motown Madness meet.
Rebecca had a solid level nine season in 2008. She placed second all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She placed third on floor at the Buckeye Classic. She placed fifth on beam and 20th all-around at Easterns. Rebecca began competing level nine in 2010. She finished sixth all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. She placed fourth on bars at the Buckeye Classic. She finished eleventh all-around at Regionals. Rebecca competed at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
In 2010, Rebecca finished third on beam at the Universal Galaxy meet. She finished fourth all-around at both the CGA Coaches Spectacular and Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won bars at the Arnold Gymnastics Challenge. She competed at Regionals. In 2011, Rebecca finished sixth all-around at the Athlete Warrior Challenge. She placed third all-around at the Circle of Stars meet. At the Buckeye Classic, she finished second all-around. She won bars at the Arnold Gymnastics challenge. At the State Championships, she finished fifth all-around. She placed in the top twenty at Regionals.
