Jessica Buis was born on November 2, 1994. She trains at USA Champion in Michigan. Jessica will graduate from high school in 2012. Her younger sister, Taylor, is also a gymnast.
In 2004, Jessica competed level six. She finished second on bars at the Swing Into Spring meet. She competed both level seven and eight in 2005. She placed second on beam at the Bravo Classic. In 2006, Jessica finished second on bars and beam at the Bravo Classic. She finished second on bars at the State Championships. She placed eighth all-around at Regionals. Jessica moved up to level nine in 2007. She finished third on bars, beam and floor at the Tulip City Invitational. Jessica placed in the top fifteen at the State Championships, qualifying for Regionals.
Jessica continued competing level nine in 2008. She finished third on beam at the US Airborne Invitational. In 2009, Jessica won beam at the Lady Luck Invitational. She finished second on vault at the US Airborne Invitational. She won the all-around title at the Cereal City Classic. At the Wolverine Classic, Jessica placed third all-around. She finished 15th all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished tenth all-around.
Jessica began competing level ten in 2010. She finished fourth on beam at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She won beam at the Twistars Invitational. At the Tulip City Invitational, she finished second all-around. Jessica finished 12th all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on beam. In 2011, Jessica finished third on beam at the Twistars Invitational. She placed third all-around at the Cereal City Classic. At the St. Louis Classic, she placd second on vault. Jessica finished sixth all-around at the State Championships. She finished twelfth all-around at Regionals. She placed second on vault and seventh all-around at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
