Sadiqua Bynum was born on November 18, 1993. She trained at Head Over Heels under Katreece Roberts and Oleg Kosiak during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2011.

Sadiqua competed level six in the fall of 2002. She finished third on floor at the HOH Compulsory Pizza meet. She continued competing level six in 2003. She finished third on floor at the October Madness meet. Sadiqua immediately began competing level seven in 2004. In 2005, Sadiqua finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships. In 2006, she repeated this feat. Sadiqua moved up to level eight in 2007. She won vault and the all-around at the Flips USA Invitational. She placed second all-around at the East Bay Invitational. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships and top fifteen at Regionals. Sadiqua continued competing level eight in 2008. She finished first on vault at the Black Tie Invitational. At the Spirit of the Flame Challenge, she won the all-around title. She also won the all-around title at the Golden State Classic. Sadiqua finished third all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on vault.

Sadiqua competed on level nine meet in 2009, placing third all-around at the Lady Luck invitational. She then moved up to level ten. She placed second on floor at the Wine Country Classic and second on vault at the Valentine Invitational. She won vault at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. Sadiqua placed first on vault and floor at the Byers Invitational. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. In 2010, Sadiqua competed on beam at the Red Heart 10.0 Invitational before being sidelined due to a torn Achilles. Sadiqua returned in 2011 to finished first on beam at the Red Heart 10.0 Invitational. She finished first on vault and floor at the National Gymnastics Festival. She won floor and placed second all-around at the Black Tie Invitational. Sadiqua won vault at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. At the Malibu Coast Challenge, she placed second all-around. She finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. She did not compete the rest of the season due to a torn Achilles.
