Lauren Caldemeyer was born on February 5, 1992. She trained at DeVeau's School of Gymnastics during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2003, Lauren competed level nine. She finished third all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed third on floor and fourth all-around. She competed level ten in 2004. She finished third on bars at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. She competed at Regionals. In 2005, Lauren won beam at Regionals. She finished second on beam at JO Nationals. She was preparing to test elite but injuries prevented her from competing.

Lauren finished third all-around at the Midwest Open in 2007. She placed first on beam, third on floor and tenth all-around at JO Nationals. In 2008, she won vault and floor at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She placed second on beam at the IGI Chicago Style. Lauren competed at Regionals. In 2009, she finished third on vault at the Surf City Classic. At Regionals, she finished first on vault and seventh all-around. She placed second on vault and beam, seventh on floor and fifth all-around at JO Nationals. Lauren did not compete in 2010.
