Sarah Caoili was born on March 25, 1996. She trained at Excalibur Gymnastics in Virginia Beach, Virginia until the summer of 2007. Sarah and her family moved to Florida where she began training at Tampa Bay Turners. She was on the National Diamond TOP Team in 2003 and 2004. In 2005, she qualified to the National TOP "A" Team. Sarah repeated this feat in 2006 and 2007. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2003, Sarah competed as a level four. She finished first all-around at the Judges Cup and Excalibur Cup. At the Sectional Championships, she finished first all-around and first on beam. At States Sarah won floor. She finished third all-around and second on vault. By 2004, she was competing as a level seven. She finished second all-around at the State Championships. As a level eight in 2005, Sarah placed first on vault and floor at States. She was second all-around.
In 2006, Sarah moved up to level nine. She finished third on vault and beam at States. Her final meet of the season was Regionals. Sarah repeated level nine in 2007. She placed third on bars and first on beam at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She finished in the top half of the field at Regionals. In 2008, she continued level 9. At her first meet, the Battle of Champions, she won beam and the all-around. She finished third on vault and second on bars. She qualified for Easterns at Regionals. At Easterns, she finished in the top ten on vault.
Her first year as a level ten was in 2009. She finished fifth all-around at the Daytona Beach Open. Sarah won a silver medal on bars at the Charleston Cup. She finished third all-around at the GymQuarters Invitational. At the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational, she finished seventh all-around. Sarah had her best meet of the season at States. She won beam. She ended her season at Regionals.
