Chayse Capps was born on October 21, 1995. She began gymnastics at the age of 18 months at Infinite Bounds. She will graduate from high school in 2013.
Chayse began competing in the fall of 2002 as a level four. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Conoco Phillips Invitational. In 2003, she won vault at both the DGC Invitational and Krafft Friendship Cup. At the Nadia Invitational, she finished second on floor. Chayse moved up to level five in the fall. She won vault at the Conoco Phillips Invitational and HUGS Winter Warm-Up. In January, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the New Year Invitational. She finished first on bars at the District Championships. Chayse placed third on bars at the North State Championships and State Championships.
In 2005, Chayse competed level seven. She finished first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Krafft Friendship Cup. Chayse won bars at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. She finished third all-around at the Yellow Rose Classic. Chayse finished in the top fifteen at the North State Championships. She won floor at the State Championships. Chayse competed level eight in 2006. She finished fifth all-around at the Krafft Friendship Cup. She placed third on floor at the Kurt Thomas Invitational and third on bars at the Yellow Rose Classic. She competed at the State Championships.
Chayse moved up to level nine in 2007. She won the all-around title at the WOGA Classic. Chayse finished third all-around at the State Championships. She placed in the top twenty at Regionals. At Westerns, she finished 16th all-around. Chayse continued competing level nine in 2008. She finished first on beam at the Rose City Classic. She finished sixth all-around at the State Championships. She won vault at Regionals. At Westerns, Chayse finished in the top ten on vault, bars and the all-around. She began competing level ten in 2010. She placed third all-around at the TWU Qualifier. She won the all-around title at the Nadia Comaneci Invitational. She finished third all-around at the Houston National Invitational. Chayse finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. In 2011, Chase finished third all-around at the Tiger Classic. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Alamo Classic. At the State Championships, she placed first on vault and floor. She won floor at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she placed eighth on beam.
