Hannah Casey was born on January 28, 1992. She trained at Oregon Gymnastics Academy through the 2006 season. She then moved to Multnomah Athletic Club. She graduated from high school in 2010.
In 2005, Hannah competed level eight. She competed at Regionals. In 2006, she finished third on floor and fourth all-around at the State Championships. She finished eleventh all-around at Regionals. Hannah moved up to level nine in 2007. She placed third on beam and seventh all-around at Regionals. In 2008, she finished first on bars at the Seattle Open, IGI Chicago Style and Emerald Team Challenge. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on bars and second all-around. Hannah placed third on bars, ninth on beam and fifth all-around at Westerns.
Hannah continued competing level nine in 2009. She won bars and the all-around at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. She finished first on bars at Regionals. She placed second all-around. At Westerns, Hannah placed fifth on vault, third on bars and third all-around. Hannah moved up to level ten in 2010. She finished second all-around at the World Cup Invitational. She placed third all-around at the All American Invitational. Hannah won bars at the MAC Open. At the Return of the Titans meet, she placed third all-around. She won bars and beam at the State Championships. She finished second all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.
As a freshman at Oregon State in 2011, Hannah competed exhibition routines on bars six times.
