Camisha Casimere was born on November 16, 1991. She trained at Airborne Gymnastics in California during her club career.
In 2002, Camisha competed as a level six in the fall season. She finished first on beam and second all-around at the Zone Championships. Her next meet was States. She finished second all-around. Camisha won the uneven bars title. In 2004, she began competing as a level seven. She won the state all-around and vault titles. She won two silver medals, one on bars and the other on beam.
Camisha moved up to level eight in 2005. She finished third on floor at States. At Regionals, she placed in the top ten. She repeated level eight in 2006. Camisha won four gold medals at States, on every event except for vault. She had the highest score of the entire meet. This named her to the Nor-Cal State Team. At Regionals, she won floor. Camisha moved up to level nine in 2007. She finished fifth all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she won the all-around title!
She competed as a level nine again in 2008. Her highest all-around score came at the Golden State Classic with a 38.075. At States, Camisha won vault, beam, floor and the all-around title. She won beam and floor at Regionals. She also finished fourth all-around. Her final meet of the season was Westerns. She finished second all-around by .025. She finished fourth on vault and floor. In the fall, Camisha received a scholarship to Cal State Fullerton!
In 2009, she moved up to level ten. At the Tachi Palace Invitational, she finished fourth on vault and beam. She won a bronze medal on vault at the WOGA Classic. She finished fourth on floor. At the Long Beach Open, she won beam, floor and the all-around. She placed third on vault. She did not compete on bars at the Byers Invitational. At States, she finished fourth all-around. She won beam and floor. Camisha finished fourth on vault at Regionals.
