Brittany Cassar was born on April 18, 1991. She trains at New Image Gymnastics. In 1999, she was on the TOPs Gold Level National Team. Brittany qualified to the National TOP Testing in 2000. She will graduate high school in 2009.

In 2002, Brittany competed as a level eight. She finished second all-around at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2003. She qualified to Easterns. Brittany advanced to level ten in 2004. She finished third all-around at Regionals. Brittany also won floor. She competed at her first JO National Championships. In 2005, 2006 and 2007, Brittany qualified to the JO National Championships again. She placed third all-around at Regionals in 2008. She won a silver medal on vault and a bronze medal on bars.

Brittany produced great results during her senior season. During her high school season in the fall of 2008 she won several meets including the all-around against Smithtown, Port Jefferson, West Islip, Middle Country, Ward Melville, and Sachem. Against Commack she broke her school's record on floor. The previous record was set by her during her junior season. She won beam, floor and the all-around against Half Hollow Hills to clinch the League 1 title for her team. At the High School State Championships, she finished second all-around. She won beam and floor. In December of 2008, she won the all-around at the Big Apple Holiday Classic. She also won bars and beam. At the Hearts Invitational, she finished third all-around. She won silver medals on bars and floor. She finished in the top ten all-around at States. At Regionals, she finished fifth all-around. She won bronze medals on vault and beam. Brittany had her best performance at JO Nationals. She finished 22nd all-around. She placed fifth on balance beam.

As a freshman at EMU in 2010, Brittany competed in ten meets. She competed on bars, beam and floor throughout the season.
