Courtney Cappalli was born on June 17, 1995. She trained at Buffalo Grove Gymnastics through the 2007 season. She then moved to Illinois Gymnastics Institute. Courtney will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2004, Courtney competed level five. She continued competing level five in 2005. She finished first on vault at the Bravo Classic. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. Courtney competed level six in 2006. She finished first on bars at the State Championships. She moved up to level seven in 2007. She placed in the top fifteen at the State Championships. Courtney began competing level eight in 2008. She finished first on vault at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished fourth on vault at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
She continued competing level eight in 2009. She won vault and bars at the IGI Chicago Style. She placed second on bars at the WOGA Classic. At the State Championships, she placed third on bars. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. Courtney moved up to level nine in 2010. She won vault at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She finished second on vault, bars and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. In 2011, Courtney placed second on vault and floor at the Twistars Invitational. She finished third all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the Classic Rock Invitational, she placed second all-around. She won vault at the Elgin Invite. Courtney finished second on floor at the State Championships. She finished ninth all-around at Regionals.
