Talia Chiarelli was born on May 12, 1995 to Peter and Alicia. Her father is the current manager of the Boston Bruins, an NHL team. She has one younger brother, Peter. Talia trained at Nepean Corona School of Gymnastics in Canada before moving to Boston in 2006. She now trains at Brestyan's Gymnastics.
In 2007, Talia competed level eight. She won floor and the all-around at the Brestyan's Invitational. At the Excalibur Cup, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. She again won the all-around at the Exxcel Beach Party Invitational. Talia swept the gold medals at the State Championships. She ended her season with a third place finish at Regionals. She won beam.
She began competing as a level nine in 2008. She won floor and the all-around at the Friendship Classic. At the Level 9 State Championships, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She placed second on vault. She finished fourth all-around at Regionals. She won silver medals on vault and beam. At Easterns, Talia finished fifth all-around. She won floor.
Talia began competing level ten in November of 2008. She placed second all-around at the Pilgrim Harvest Invitational. The next month she won the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. In January of 2009, Talia placed second on vault and floor at the Brestyan Invitational. She won a bronze medal on vault at the Parkette Invitational. At the City of Lights Invitational, Talia finished third all-around. She placed third on vault at the Level 10 State Championships. At Regionals, Talia swept the gold medals. She ended her level ten season at JO Nationals. In July, Talia qualified to junior international elite. She qualified for the US National Championships via the US Classic. She placed on both vault and floor at her for US National Championships.
