Alessandra Cinfio was born on September 30, 1991. She trained at Illinois Gymnastics Institute. Alessandra graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2003, Alessandra competed level seven. She competed at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2004. She finished first on floor at Regionals. She competed level nine in 2005. Alessandra finished first on beam at the State Championships. At Easterns, she placed ninth on beam and 22nd all-around. She continued competing level nine in 2006. She competed at Regionals. In 2007, Alessandra finished second on beam at the Flips USA Invitational.

Alessandra began competing level ten in 2008. She finished fourth all-around at the Bravo Classic. She placed third on floor at the IGI Chicago Style and Gasparilla Classic. In 2009, Alessandra had strong performances at the IGI Chicago Style and WOGA Classic. She finished fourth all-around at the Flip'r meet. At Regionals, she finished seventh all-around. Alessandra competed at JO Nationals. In 2010, she won vault at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She finished second on beam at the Arena Classic. At the State Championships, she placed second on floor. She finished seventh all-around at Regionals. Alessandra competed at her second JO Nationals.

As a freshman at Boise State in 2011, she competed on beam twice.
