Carly Johnson was born on February 2, 2000. She trains at WOGA. She will graduate from high school in 2018.

In 2007, Carly competed level five. She won beam at the Rising Stars meet. She placed third on beam at the District Championships. She moved up to level six in the fall of 2008. She finished third on floor at the Rising Stars meet. She finished in the top ten at the North State Championships. At the State Championships, she placed first on bars and beam. She finished second all-around.

Carly began competing level seven in 2010. She finished third all-around and first on bars at the Metroplex Challenge. Carly placed second on bars at the Pikes Peak Cup. At the Houston National Invitational, she finished first on bars and third on beam. Carly placed second on beam and in the all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2011. She won bars at the IGI Chicago Style. At the WOGA Classic, she placed first on bars. Carly finished first on bars and third on beam at the Houston National Invitational. At the State Championships, she won bars. Carly won bars at Regionals. She finished 14th all-around.
