Charity Jones was born on February 15, 1995. She trained at Krafft Academy of Gymnastics in Tulsa, Oklahoma through the 2010 season. She then moved to Dynamo Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2004, Charity competed as a level eight. She finished tenth all-around at Regionals. She finished in the top ten on vault and bars. She moved up to level nine in 2006. Charity finished fourth on floor at Regionals. She qualified to Westerns. She competed as a level nine again in 2006. She finished third on beam at Regionals. Charity finished in the top twenty all-around at Westerns. She won beam! She moved up to level ten in 2007. She finished first all-around at Regionals! She won vault and floor. At JO Nationals, she finished eleventh all-around. Charity tested to hopes pre-elite. She finished sixth overall at the US Challenge.
She continued competing as a level ten in 2008. At the Cancun Classic, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around titles! She finished second all-around at States. Charity won vault and floor. She was an All-State Qualifier. Charity finished second on floor at Regionals and qualifier to her second JO National Championships. At JO Nationals, she finished in the top ten on floor. Unfortunately, Charity did not get her compulsory score for pre-elite in 2008. In 2009, she exhibitioned on bars at the Nadia Comaneci International Invitational. At Regionals, she finished fifth all-around. She placed second on vault and third on beam. She placed in the top ten on beam at JO Nationals.
Charity had a great 2010 season. She won the all-around at both the ConocoPhillips Invitational and Santa Invitational in late 2009. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the 2010 Cancun Classic. At the State Championships, Charity won bars, floor and the all-around. She placed third on vault and fifth all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished 13th all-around. In 2011, Charity finished first on floor and second all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won the all-around title at the Metroplex Challenge. Charity finished third all-around at the WOGA Classic. At the State Championships, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. Charity placed fourth all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she won the all-around title! She also placed first on vault, third on bars, tenth on beam and fifth on floor. She earned the Shannon Miller Award given by Oklahoma USAG. She was also named Region III Gymnast of the Year.
