Theresa Rose Cole-Diamond was born on September 15, 1988. She is the daughter of Debbie Bailey. Theresa, who is often called Teri, competed for Hill's Gymnastics in Maryland. She is currently a freshman at the University of North Carolina.

In 2000, she competed as a level nine. She finished sixteenth all-around at Easterns. In 2001, Teri competed as a level ten. She finished seventh all-around at States. She continued competing as a level ten inn 2002. She finished second all-around at the State Championships. Teri won vault and bars. At Regionals, she won bars and finished third all-around. This qualified her for the JO National Championships. At JO Nationals, Teri finished eleventh all-around. She struggled with injuries in 2002 and 2003. She was able to finished second all-around and first on floor at the State Championships. After a year of injuries, Teri won the all-around, beam and floor titles at States. She finished second all-around at Regionals. Teri competed at her second JO National Championships in 2004.

Teri had a great 2005 season. She won the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. She finished third all-around and first on bars at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she placed eleventh all-around and second on uneven bars. Teri competed as a senior pre-elite at the US Challenge. She returned to level ten in 2006. Teri finished third all-around at States and Regionals. Teri ended her club career at JO Nationals.

As a freshman at UNC, she was a member of the EAGL All-Academic team. She won bars at her first collegiate meet against William & Mary. She also competed on beam and floor throughout her freshman year. During her sophomore season, she competed in the first five meets but missed the latter half of the season because of an elbow injury. She was a member of the EAGL All-Academic Team. In 2009, she earned her third spot on the EAGL All-Academic team. She competed on beam and floor throughout the season.
