Kyleigh Compton was born on September 7, 1996. She trained at Texas Dreams in Coppell, Texas, until 2008. She now competes for US Gold Gymnastics.

In 2005, she qualified to the National TOPs Testing. She competed level seven in 2006. She won vault at the TWU State Qualifier. She was named to the National TOPs Team in the fall. She jumped up to level nine in 2007. She placed second on floor at the WOGA Classic. She qualified to hopes elite. Kyleigh competed at the US and American Challenge. She made the TOPs National Team in the fall.

She moved to US Gold for the 2009 season. At the 2009 Texas Prime Meet, she finished second on vault and fourth on bars as a level nine. She finished fourth all-around at the Daytona Beach Open. She finished second on vault and bars. At the Rose City Classic, she won vault and bars. She placed third on floor and fourth all-around. Kyleigh won bronze medals on vault and bars at the State Championships. She finished sixth all-around out of twenty. She ended her season at Regionals with a bronze medal on vault.
