Kaitlyn Cooper was born on April 9, 1993. She trained at St. Charles through the 2006 season. She then moved to Maximum. In the spring of 2008, she moved to IGI. She will graduate from high school in 2011.

In 2004, Kaitlyn competed level eight. She finished third on vault at the Vegas Vacation and March of Dimes meet. She placed sixth all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2004. Kaitlyn finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. She placed in the top fifteen all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at Easterns. She continued competing level nine in 2006. She placed second all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, Kaitlyn placed seventh all-around, second on floor and ninth on beam.

She began competing level ten in 2007. She finished first on bars, beam and the all-around at the Gasparilla Classic. She finished 35th all-around at JO Nationals. In 2008, she finished third on floor at the Bravo Classic. At JO Nationals, she placed fourth on vault, ninth on beam and tenth all-around. She finished second all-around at the Flip'r meet in 2009. She finished first on vault and floor at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished 14th all-around, fifth on floor and sixth on vault. Kaitlyn won beam, floor and the all-around at the Tampa Bay Turner's Invitational. She won vault and the all-around at the King Arthur Invitational. She did not compete in the championship season. After earning a full scholarship to Illinois, Kaitlyn decided to not longer participate in gymnastics.
